Cynthia Libert, M.D. ("Dr. Cindy") is a board-certified family physician, Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner, and expert in brain health and resilience with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She is the CEO and founder of Caring for the Body, PLLC – Center for Functional Medicine, based in Asheville, North Carolina.
Dr. Cindy completed a two-year fellowship in Functional and Integrative Psychiatry and is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction and Soul Care at Denver Seminary, equipping her to guide both mind and spirit.
Beyond her professional role, Dr. Cindy is a devoted follower of Jesus, a wife, and the mother of three daughters, bringing warmth, authenticity, and lived experience into her care.
Her clinical work emphasizes brain health, longevity medicine, burnout prevention, and whole-person flourishing—integrating biblical wisdom with leading-edge medical science.
